Rise & Reflect ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: We collect your email address when you create an account. This is stored securely in our database (Supabase).

Voice and Reflection Data: All voice recordings and reflection session data are stored locally on your device only. We do not store, transmit, or have access to your voice recordings or personal reflections on our servers.

AI Processing: When you use the app, voice transcriptions are sent to OpenAI's API for real-time conversation and insights generation. OpenAI processes this data according to their privacy policy and does not retain your data for model training.

Analytics: We use PostHog for anonymous usage analytics to improve the app experience. This includes feature usage patterns and app performance metrics, but does not include personal reflection content.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your privacy is our top priority:

Local Storage: All voice recordings and reflection content are stored exclusively on your device
Server Storage: Only your email address is stored on our secure servers (Supabase)
Encryption: Data transmission to AI services uses industry-standard encryption
No Data Selling: We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

OpenAI: For AI conversation and insights generation
PostHog: For anonymous usage analytics
Supabase: For secure email storage and authentication

5. Your Rights and Data Control

You have the right to:

Access your personal information (email address)
Delete your account and associated data at any time
Export your locally stored reflection data from your device
Opt out of analytics tracking

6. Data Deletion

To delete your account and data:

Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app, or
Email us at cohen.abravanel@gmail.com with your deletion request
Your email will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days
Local device data can be removed by uninstalling the app

7. Children's Privacy

Rise & Reflect is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
